Work with Extended Warranties

Unlike insurances - where the calculation tables are built into Q-Menus Online - it is up to the Business Manager to enter warranty pricing into Q-Menus Online.

There are three viable options for entering and presenting extended warranties in Q-Menus Online:

  1. With your first option you can enter one extended warranty into Item Templates with the highest possible price, then adjust the price down while you are with the customer, and after you have determined what menu group and warranty suits the customer's needs. This method requires no additional time on your part and puts you in the position of presenting a menu with an inflated initial payment.
  2. The second option shows the process of entering four extended warranties, a different one for each group. As you did in the previous example, each of your four warranties should default to the highest possible price of that warranty. You can adjust it down when you present the menu.
  3. A third option involves changing the price of the extended warranty in your Item Templates before each menu presentation. Essentially, you would go into Item Templates and change the price of the extended warranty to the program that best suits the customer's needs. You must change the price in Item Templates before selecting a menu template to present to the customer. With this method, any menu you present to the customer has the correct extended warranty price in it.

Choose the method that suits your selling style and time limitations best. We strongly advise against entering all of your extended warranty options in Q-Menus Online due to the sheer volume of options.
