We have been using the Quantech Software in our 3 stores now for a few months. We had previous experience with the menu selling concept, but never had an actual computer program to do the menu for us. Our experience to date can only be summed up as total satisfaction, both with Jack, Lisa, and the team at Quantech. After looking at the software, we suggested some changes that would benefit everyone using the program. Most companies listen to your suggestions and never implement them. Our situation is kind of unique, because we not only sell automobiles but also marine boats and motors and trailers. Quantech V6 is adaptable, so if a user wanted to get into motorcycles, RVs, ATVs, or anything other than your regular automotive, there is no problem to adapt the software to the product that you are selling.
I really, really like Quantech V6. I find it very easy to operate. It is very user-friendly. When I put basic information in such as customer name, pricing information, and so on, I can then look at different scenarios very quickly. I can flip between leasing or financing or cash very easily and show my customers, right on the screen, what the difference in the payments would be. When I print a disclosure, everything is there for my customer to see everything that they need.
The people at Quantech are awesome. They are very very approachable. When I can’t figure something out like getting my printer to work, I just call up Quantech and they get me back on track right away. As for technical help, I never have to wait to get my answers. When you phone, you talk to a real person, which is really unusual these days. They are also available by e-mail, but when I have a question, I don’t have time to dork around – I need an answer now. Quantech never lets me down.

We had Reynolds & Reynolds in before but switched to Quantech V6, which we use to print our forms and also sell life insurance packages.
Quantech works very well for us. It is very easy for us to print our forms for both our new and used cars. They have set it up very well, so it is simple to use and doesn’t give us any difficulties.
Reliability has been 100%. Whenever we get changes from Honda Canada, Quantech usually gets the changes done in a matter of moments. For larger system changes from Honda, Quantech sometimes takes a day or so, which is excellent because we always get 30 days notice from Honda when changes are required. In addition, we have never had a system failure of any kind.

We use Quantech V6 software for dealerships in two different cities. We have about four people using V6 in each dealership, as well as people in our central office. The software resides on one centralized server, so each office can get access to all the records they need. The people in our accounting office have access because V6 tracks all the invoices, so the finance people can get the information they need for accounting purposes.
We selected Quantech because they were so cooperative and were prepared to listen to auto dealers and configure the product to the needs of our dealership.
Quantech stood out because other software vendors did not have a fully featured standalone F&I package. They wanted to sell us a full dealer management system with a full accounting package, but we did not need that. The others were not prepared to break it out and provide us with just the inventory management and F&I modules, which is what Quantech what was willing to provide.
The inventory management module in V6 allows you to print reports or easily produce custom reports, which has been a Godsend for us.
Quantech talks to us in a language we can understand because the people there were business managers for dealerships. They understand where we are at and don’t just come at us with a lot of computer jargon.
If we want any customized letters or forms, I just talk to them and then fax it to them, and it is done immediately, and other changes are done just as fast.
A big feature for us is that V6 does not require us to use the old style impact printers. If we want to do forms and contracts, we can send them to any of our laser printers anywhere in the office and they come out automatically formatted. We even print our retail invoices, and they come out with our logo imbedded on the invoice in color and the numbering is all coordinated with our accounting office.
If we want to make a change on invoices and add extra lines for accessories or whatever, Quantech sets this all up for us. Quantech also makes it possible to make changes to invoices for tax exemption and different tax rates, right during a deal. You don’t have to shut the system down or reset the system defaults or get the IT department to do it for you.
V6 helps us close more business for several reasons. Right on the screen, we can show customers the different costs in regards to financing against leasing or leasing against financing. We can also show different financing options and show the customer two or three different banks at the same time and the difference each one makes to cost. If the customer says he can get a better interest rate somewhere else, we can put various rates into the system and show exactly what the difference would be, which is important to help the customer make a decision right there rather than go away to research different options. The system instantly recalculates everything as we need it.
Our computers all have swivel monitors, so we can show the customer exactly what is going into the deal including all accessories and options. There is nothing to hide, because V6 does not show sensitive information such as our price or our profit. Then if the customer says for example she would like to put $3,000 down instead of $1,000, we just punch that in and they can see exactly what their payment would be. You don’t have to hide anything from the customer, and this helps them to feel they understand their options and are making the best possible choice.
V6 is so much more user-friendly than other systems I have worked with. You have to remember that in the used car business, there are a lot of people like myself who are used to the old management style and did not grow up with computers. If the thing isn’t computer friendly, we get lost. That’s one of the things Quantech was really good at, was making the thing so damned user-friendly.
The software also lets us put in accessories as part of the deal, so everything is handled through one central invoice and you don’t have to worry that you forgot down the road to include the accessories and then have to scramble to get another check from the customer.
Because the rates from the finance company are right in the software and recorded with every deal, our finance people can check and make sure we get credited for the amount owing to us, so V6 helps us to make sure we don’t forget to collect this money.

Milestone Mazda Subaru
We moved from an old F&I system that was DOS-based with no point-and-click capability and that was very difficult to change forms or handle other changes.
We had a chance to review Quantech’s software and what really impressed me first was the speed of the database. V6 can handle thousands of records just as quickly as a few records, which is important when you have a customer waiting in the office for information.
I looked at competitors to Quantech. The main competitor could not share information with our in-house systems in the way we needed and they were also quite a bit more expensive than Quantech.
The biggest drawback with that competing system is that their software could only handle one company in a given installation, and we have both Mazda and Subaru under one roof. In our operation, the accounting for both companies is completely separate, and if a customer buys from the Mazda side, they get everything printed on Mazda forms, and the same for Subaru, so we needed to be able to handle this situation. So if we went with this other system, we would have had to pay for two software licenses plus run the two systems on two completely separate computers.
Quantech solves this problem because we can run both companies on one system. Also, V6 gives us the ability to switch between companies on the one system. If a customer is in the process of buying a Mazda and then changes their mind and goes for a Subaru, you can still put the deal together with the information already in the system and then print everything on the correct forms.
V6 lets you switch seamlessly from finance to lease to cash as well as use QuickQuote to get a number. If I am working on a deal and a salesman comes in with a question, I can pull up QuickQuote and get him a payment within less than 60 seconds, whether it is a trade or no-trade, cash down or no cash down, and so on.
V6 is very, very easy to learn.
V6 has a great database authentication capability built in, so if we have a power interruption I don’t lose the deal I am working on.
Because every deal is stored in a central record, you can delete an entire deal out of the database without having to comb through the database looking for all the elements that might have been recorded in the system.
Our F&I gross per vehicle has greatly increased since we installed the new software. F&I accounts for over 40% of the profit of the dealership, and Quantech V6 plays a key role in achieving these numbers. Quantech V6 has made a huge contribution and is an integral part of our entire sales success.
The software makes a difference because it allows us to present different scenarios to the customer right away without making anyone wait for answers. With Quantech V6, everything is point-and-click and the customer has their answer immediately. Everything can be disclosed, so we flip the screen and in effect let the buyers create their own deals. We can change any variable on the fly and get an immediate recalculation.
Customer service has been great. The people at Quantech have been very helpful. During set-up, we had some unique issues to resolve in the way we handled trades and the resulting taxes as well as for selling into other provinces. Quantech has a remote administration feature which is just wonderful, so they can take control of my computer and then fix whatever needs to be fixed.
Another really great feature is that support is limitless and is simply included with the monthly subscription. So there is no “per hour” or “per call” fee, which means no surprises.
Because the software is so easy to use, a salesman can go in if the business manager is unavailable and get the information he needs and even complete the deal and print a bill of sale, if necessary.
We use the software for the complete deal including all accessories. We sell a lot of tints, remote starters, security systems, custom wheel packages, the odd spoiler and side-step. This is just written into the accessories screen and Quantech V6 generates the final bill of sale.
