The Amortizer is our FREE loan calculator that you can download and use without charge. Thousands of people have downloaded it, and now you can too!
The Amortizer is a simple loan calculator with a twist. It was developed by QuantechSoftware.Com Inc. to be used in commercial loan calculations for heavy equipment dealers. The special loan repayment options needed in this industry were such that none of the existing calculators were flexible enough to be used effectively.
Irregular Payment Options
The Amortizer calculator allows for irregular payment streams. Any number of
payments can be skipped, any number of payments can be a fixed amount or it can
be a mix of both. A simple interface makes this calculator very easy to use.
The database will let you save and review all your loans.

How To Use Quantech Amortizer
How to Start
To calculate a loan, click on New Loan and give it a name. Enter the:
Loan Amount
Term in Months
Annual Interest Rate.
When your values are all set click the Calculate button.
Monthly, Quarterly, Biannual and Annual loans can be calculated by selecting the appropriate item from the Calculation Type drop-down menu then clicking the Calculate button. This removes payments where they are not relevant.
Compounding Period
Choose the Compounding Period that reflects the loan type. For example, most
loans normally compound monthly. Note that changing the compounding period does
not change the payment frequency.
Payment Frequency
Payment frequency is always based on monthly payments. It is set in the
Calculation Type drop-down menu where it can be changed to Monthly, Quarterly,
Biannually, or Annually
For example, set the Calculation Type to Quarterly then click the Calculate button. The effect will be that the first two of every three monthly payments will be skipped.
After the Calculate button is clicked and the calculation is complete the Calculation Type is automatically reset to Refresh. Whenever the Calculate button is clicked with the Calculation Type set to Refresh any skips or fixed payments are included in the recalculation.
Setting the Loan Period
Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual and Annual loans can be calculated by clicking
the corresponding buttons. This has the effect of removing the monthly payments
where they are not relevant.
Skipping Payments
To skip a monthly payment click on the checkbox next to the date.
Adding Fixed Payments
To make a fixed payment enter its amount in the Fixed pmt. column.
Always click on the Calculate button with the Calculation Type set to Refresh to recalculate a new payment stream after changing anything.
