50,000 downloads of the Quantech Software.com Free Amortizer
Westbank BC, - Quantech Software.com, F&I software experts for Auto, RV, Marine and Powersport dealerships announces the 50,000th download of its free amortization calculator.
The Amortizer was originally developed and released in 2005 for heavy equipment dealers. Existing calculators were unable to handle the often complex and sometimes convoluted payment schedules required for that market. “At the time we were researching the feasibility of developing a product focused on the heavy equipment market. Research showed the timing wasn’t right for a separate product so we decided to develop a freely available one”, remembers Jack Pyck, president, founder, and original Amortizer programmer.
Amortizer 1.1.1 has only three fields to enter; loan amount, loan term, and interest rate, and boosts the ability to handle irregular payment streams, skipping payments, payments of fixed amount or a combination. A simple interface makes it very easy to use and a database keeps everything for review later on.
The Amortizer is freely available as a downloadable program at Quantechsoftware.com as well as at many Internet download sites including www.download.com and www.brothersoft.com. “Our intention was to make it widely available – 50,000 downloads would suggest we did a pretty good job of that”, says Mike Martin, Director of Sales.
